FAQ's
- 01Adult tickets (17+) will be £10.00 each and children's tickets (5-16) will be £5 each. Under 5's are free and do not require a ticket. Car Parking is £2.50 per car. The tickets will go on sale approximately 10 days prior to opening. Unfortunately, we do not have a mailing list for advanced notice on ticket sales. The best way to keep up to date is to follow us on Facebook & Instagram @norfolk_tulips to see when they are released or keep an eye on local press for more information. There is a maximum booking size of 6 tickets plus car parking tickets. Tickets are available to purchase through the link on our website: they are sold through TicketTailor on behalf of Tapping House. Please note: all tickets are non refundable and non transferable by us or Tapping House unless we have to cancel the event. We strongly advise against purchasing tickets through second hand selling sites, Facebook groups and comments on our posts. Should you have a concern about tickets you have purchased; please email tulips@tappinghouse.org.uk
- 02LOCATION: The location is given to ticket holders only - this is a field there isn't a postcode available. TRANSPORT: The closest public transport to the field will be the Train Station at King's Lynn, from there our best advice is to get a taxi to the field. The location of the field is not on a bus route and you are not able to walk to it. You will need to make sure book a return taxi to the station. There are lots of local taxi firms that can support you. PARKING: There is a car park on site for our guests at the Tulip field, you can book this at the same time as booking your tickets. This is grass field not a tarmac car park, it is uneven and may be muddy or dusty depending on conditions. Cars are parked at owners risk. The car park is not suitable for large motor homes. There are no electric charging points.
- 03WHAT TIME ARE YOU OPEN: We open at 10am and last entry is at 3.30pm. We ask that the Tulip field is vacated by 4.15pm. This year we are offering three late evenings, where we will be open from 10am and last entry will be 7pm, we ask that the Tulip field is vacated by 8pm. We offer 45 minute time slots, to manage all of the visitors. The field will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for essential field and crop maintenance. Please do not try to visit on these days. CAN I VISIT WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED: No, we work tirelessly to prepare the field before the event and it is not safe for you to visit before we open and likewise once we close. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you and we hope you understand how hard we work to be able to make this happen. Just like flowers in your garden, they bloom at different times/dates each year, the same happens with our tulips. They are a natural growing crop which bloom when they are ready. Sun and rain affect the growing schedule along with other factors that are out of our control. Whilst every effort has been made to run this event during peak flowering season, we cannot guarantee all of the tulips will be in full bloom for the duration of the event.
- 04When will you be opening this year? The short answer is… we don’t know as it is really hard for us to give specific opening dates due to the weather and how the tulips grow each year. Previous years: In 2026 we opened from 16th April to 27th April (Closed for maintenance on Tuesday and Wednesday) Tickets went on sale 10 days before (7th April). In 2025 we opened from 24th April to 5th May (Closed for maintenance on Tuesday and Wednesday) Tickets went on sale 10 days before (14th April). In 2024 we opened from 18th April to 29th April (Closed for maintenance on Tuesday and Wednesday) Tickets went on sale 10 days before (8th April). In 2023 we opened from 27th April to 8th May (Closed for maintenance on Tuesday and Wednesday) Tickets went on sale 10 days before (17th April). In 2022 we opened from the 21st April to 2nd May (Closed for maintenance on Tuesday and Wednesday) Tickets went on sale 10 days before (11th April). As you can see it varies each year, hopefully this gives you some idea.
- 05TOILETS: There will be portable toilets on site, and hand sanitiser available. Please note that there is no running water at the Tulip fields. FOOD AND DRINK: There are a selection of food and drink vendors available at the field, unfortunately we cannot confirm if they offer specific dietary requirements. In previous years we have had Reeseys Ice Cream, Bucket List, Cuppa Jo Jo and Palmer's Fish & Chips. PICNICS: We do allow picnics, but they cannot be eaten in the car park due to health and safety.
- 06While those using wheelchairs and buggies are wholeheartedly welcome at the fields, we would ask that users be aware that conditions on the day are wholly dependent upon the weather. The terrain will be uneven and can be muddy or dusty; please bear this in mind before you visit and ensure you wear appropriate footwear. You will not be able to get down the rows of the tulips in your wheelchair/pushchair but you will be able to enjoy them from the ends of the rows.
- 07If you are interested in a commercial photography pass, please email tulips@tappinghouse.org.uk with the following information; your name, your company name, email address and telephone number. Drones are strictly prohibited.
- 08Dogs, Drones and Picking the tulips are all strictly prohibited. If you are found to be doing any of these you could be asked to leave. Assistance dogs are welcome. Please contact tulips@tappinghouse.org.uk for further information on this.
- 09If you are looking to make a coach booking please contact tulips@tappinghouse.org.uk they will be able to assist you
